Simon Ruddick: Managing Director and CEO, Albourne Partners
Simon Ruddick is the managing director and CEO of Albourne Partners, a hedge fund advisory firm, which he co-founded in 1994. Ruddick got his start in finance working for Japanese investment banks as a derivatives trader in the early 1980s.
He moved to London with Bankers Trust Co in 1988, and in 1989 he left to form Westminster Equity Ltd, a specialist equity derivatives boutique.
Ruddick sold his share in Westminster in 1994 and founded Albourne Partners with another Westminster Equity Partner, Guy Ingram.
In 2010, Mr. Ruddick was voted into HFMWeek’s “50 most influential people in hedge funds” and received a Lifetime Achievement Award from Global Custodian.
Mr. Ruddick is a trustee of the Hedge Funds Standard Board.
