Roy Martins: Managing Director, Credit Suisse
Roy Martins is a Managing Director of Credit Suisse in the Investment Banking division, based in London.
He is Head of International Prime Services and also is responsible for the Financing Products business globally. Prior to joining Credit Suisse, Martins was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley from 1995 - 2007.
Martins holds an MBA from the London Business School and the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School. He also holds a C.Sc (Hons) in Mathematics and Management from Kings College, London.
Martins is also Chairman of Pratham UK Limited, an Indian children's charity focused on education. Pratham was started in Mumbai by UNICEF and Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai in 1994 with the maxim "every child in school and learning well". Since then, it has helped educate 34 million children in India.
Due to his leadership at Pratham, Martins was given the opportunity to carry the Olympic torch through Croydon.
